Description
WW2 German Rare Early Eickhorn Hitler Youth Knife
A very early circa pre 1933 year Hitlerjugend HJ Farthenmesser.Eickhorn being a significant and most prolific producer appear to have a limited number of these early No ricasso type Dagger/Knifes with the most earlier markings (1931-32 year) of a Squirrel marking in a single oval with inscription SOLINGEN GES.GESCHÜTZT. Very hard to find a single oval trademark by Eickhorn.
Commonly such knives are damaged & worn by using them by Hitler’s youth, who use them mostly in an inappropriate manner: throw them into the targets, use as a tool to unscrew something or open the cans and sharpen them every week.
Condition overall shows exactly the above type useage from a Hitler youth member in its day.
Nickel plating on the steel handle and hilt
The HJ Badge has some enamel loss.
The Blood & Honour blade etching is quite worn/faded but still visible.
If you are a collector of scarce or rare Maker marks then this item fits that requirement perfectly.
