Description
Original WW2 German Army (Heer) Afrika Korps M35 Camo Helmet.
This helmet was found in Tunisia. It has been authenticated as an original.
Single Decal steel helmet with rolled edge, magnetic original apple green exterior has been painted over with khaki in the field. Army Heer eagle deal on left side partially visible through the khaki brushstrokes, with hollow rivet ventilation holes on each side. Inside is complete with original 8 panel leather liner (5 ventilation holes on each panel) plus original drawstring. Original 2 piece leather chinstrap with some separation near the rusting buckle, fixed to the liners steel frame on either side. Original pins holding the frame to the helmet, the left front one is slightly loose. Underside of the skirt is maker marked SE64.
Paint scuffing is extensive, with loss on the exterior of helmet exposing the original colour and raw steel of the helmet in places. Leather liner shows soiling and wear from active use.
