This lapel badge was worn by an official member of the National Sozialistische Frauenschaft (National Socialist Women’s League) the women’s wing of the Nazi Party. It was founded in October 1931 and absorbed several national and socialist women’s associations in operation at the time such as the Deutscher Frauenorden (German Women’s Order), the Arbeitsgemienschaft Voelkisch Gesinnter Frauen (Association of Racialist Women), and the Rotes Hakenkreuz (Red Swastika).
